So as I mentioned in the previous post, this mirror was way to dark for her bedroom so I painted it a gray to match the general color scheme of her room.

I used Miss Mustardseed Milk paint and distressed a little around the edges and finished off with Ann Sloan Wax.
Now off to do more DIY projects and finish school projects.

I love the colour you chose! It looks way better. Did you need to sand before painting with the milk paint and what colour was it? Have you secured the mirror to the wall? I guess I'm a paranoid mom :o) and am just thinking about your daughter's safety.
ReplyDeleteHi Lucy..No I did not sand before apply, although I did have to paint a few coats. The color was shutter gray. Oh, I haven't finished with my daughters, but when it is all pulled together I will for sure secure to the wall:)
