Hi Everyone,
Oh my, has it really been that long since I last posted. I apologize, traveling and kiddos activities continue to keep me away from the computer. School starts in about a week, really!?. Where did the summer go, but it will give me a little more flexibility and time to post and continue with more DIY projects.
This week I completed a pillow for my sister. I love the simplicity, color and a little personalizing for a fun and unique addition to the sofa or occasional chair. Instead of piping I added a fun stitch and stenciled with acrylic paint the nautical coordinates. A good quality duck fabric I picked up from Joann is easy to sew and durable in a home with pets and children.
So look out for this in the mail soon, sis.
This next project is a work in progress, but wanted to give a sneak peek. An ottoman and chair is getting a mini makeover with slipcovers. I still have a little bit of work left on the chair, but the ottoman is complete with a slub linen fabric in ruffles. I opted to keep it simple without piping, but details such as ruffles and zig-zag stitching will hopefully give it a nice touch.
Below are beautiful pictures I use for inspiration. Love these cozy, elegant, neutral rooms all by one of my all time favorite designer's, Pamela Pierce.
Thanks, as always for reading my blog. I love all your lovely comments and feedback.
Have a fabulous weekend.
XOXO,
SK
